- follow the scientific progress in remote sensing of atmospheric chemistry
- analyse the O3M SAF ATBDs and PUMs in relation to recent advances in science
- discuss the content and propose updates to the O3M SAF Science Plan 
- study possibilities for a unified set of ozone cross-sections in coordination with WMO
