wp_objectives:
The objective of this WP is the validation of the O3M SAF IASI CO product.

wp_methodology:
Validation (VAL) consists in a full investigation of the geophysical coherence of the data and of its quality. Validation exercises are required to assess new products or in case of major algorithmic revision. They make full use of available ground-based remote-sensing correlative data and lead to the production of a comprehensive validation report.

VAL tasks:
- Comparisons against ground-based FTIR measurements (baseline of at least 5 NDACC and 5 TCCON stations, depending on data availability)

wp_datasources:
- IASI CO profiles provided by ULB/LATMOS
- CO FTIR data from selected NDACC and TCCON IR stations

wp_deliverables:
- IASI CO validation report
